Each day is packed with cultural discoveries, authentic cuisine, and meaningful connections that bring Ghana’s rich heritage to life. This 8-day adventure lets you experience Ghana's dynamic blend of past and present, from rhythmic drumming and traditional Kente cloth weaving to picturesque beaches and UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Day 1: Arrival in Accra

Welcome to Ghana! Arrive at Kotoka International Airport and enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After settling in, meet fellow travelers over a traditional Ghanaian welcome dinner, where you’ll enjoy local dishes like jollof rice and grilled tilapia.

Day 2: Accra - Cultural and Historical Tour

Explore Accra with visits to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, and vibrant Osu Castle. Stroll through the Makola Market for handcrafted souvenirs and colorful Kente cloth. In the evening, enjoy a local dance performance.

Day 3: Accra - Arts and Crafts Experience

Dive into Ghana’s artistry with a guided workshop on Kente weaving and bead-making. Later, visit the bustling Arts Center to admire works by local artisans. Finish the day at a beachside dinner, watching the sun set over the Atlantic.

Day 4: Kumasi - Heart of Ashanti Culture

Fly to Kumasi, the cultural center of the Ashanti Kingdom. Visit the Manhyia Palace Museum, then witness an Ashanti durbar ceremony, with vibrant music, dance, and attire. Spend the night in a local hotel and enjoy traditional Ashanti dishes.

Day 5: Kumasi - Market and Workshop

Explore Kumasi’s Kejetia Market, one of West Africa’s largest. In the afternoon, attend a batik workshop and try your hand at creating colorful fabrics. Relax in the evening with a savory Ghanaian meal.

Day 6: Elmina - Coastal Exploration

Head to the coast and visit the Elmina Castle, a poignant UNESCO site with a history tracing back to the trans-Atlantic slave trade. After a guided tour, unwind at nearby Coconut Grove Beach Resort, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.

Day 7: Cape Coast - Nature and Heritage

Explore Cape Coast Castle, another UNESCO site, and learn more about Ghana’s rich history. Enjoy a nature walk at Kakum National Park, crossing canopy walkways for breathtaking views. A farewell dinner rounds off the night with locally-inspired cuisine.

Day 8: Departure

Bid farewell to Ghana with a final breakfast before your transfer to the airport. Reflect on memories made and the unique culture and history experienced during your journey.

  • Double Occupancy: $3,835 per person
  • Single Occupancy: $4,869 per person
  • Deposit: A $200 non-refundable deposit secures your spot. Payment plans are available for trips booked nine months in advance.
